Introduction
Jiamusi University (JU) is a comprehensive university under the supervision of the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province. The university was established in 1947, located in Jiamusi, a charming city in Heilongjiang Province of China. After 67 years of development, Jiamusi University has found its way into the list of high-level universities given top priority by Heilongjiang Government.
Jiamusi University covers 1,490,000 square meters with 840,130 square meters floor space. It has five school districts and a Hi-Tech Park, twenty-six colleges, a department directly under the university and sixty-nine research institutes. It offers 75 undergraduates’ degree, 36 Master Degree program among them 10 first—level discipline offering master’s degree, 7 second—level discipline offering master’s degree and 3 disciplines offering professional master’s degree, 2 First Level Authorized Doctor’s Degree subjects and 2 PostDoctoral Scientific Research Workstation. Among them 3 state-level special majors,11 province-level key majors, 9 province-level key subjects, three key laboratories at the provincial level, 4 provincial demonstration experimental centers, and 14 provincial quality courses

n recent years, Jiamusi University has been working with an open-door policy. It gives priority to established friendly relationships, educational, academic,scientific exchanges and research with approximate 38 universities in more than 14 countries and regions such as the US, Japan, Russia, South Korea, India and Pakistan. With the scholarship project for foreign students’ study commissioned by the Chinese government, the university has enrolled more than 900 foreign students from 50 countries and regions.
Jiamusi University has more than 24,945 full-time students including 23,569 undergraduate students, 1376 postgraduate students, more than 800 international students. It employs more than 4821 teachers and staff including more than 1586 professors with senior professional titles. The teaching strength consists of academicians, Long Jiang Scholars, specially-appointed professors and guest professors. Jiamusi University has a largest library in the area of over 37,000 m2, has a collection of over 2.98 million and 1600 items of periodical publication. There are one engineering research centers of the Ministry of Education, 3 provincial and ministerial level key laboratories, 6 Provincial Scientific Research Centers and 69 University Research Institutes.

Jiamusi University achieved some National Projects including “Project 973” and “Project 863”, the National Projects for Natural Science Fund, the National Projects for Social Science Fund and the National Science-Supporting Programs, and also multiple projects supported by Health Ministry, Education Ministry and State Ethnic Affairs Commission. Jiamusi University openly published three journals in the nation and abroad are Social Science Journal, Natural Science Journal of Jiamusi University, and Journal of Heilongjiang Pharmaceutical Science. The university published a total of 5877 academic papers, including 428 in SCI, SSCI, EI, ISTP, and CSSCI. There are 474 units of monographs publicized and 58 items of national patents granted. Jiamusi University obtained a total of 253 items of awards at all levels of science and technology achievement. In recent years, Jiamusi University rewarded about 1174 items of all kinds of projects, including 32 items of national projects.
