Caucasus International University, established in the year 1995, is a higher education institution imparting MBBS education in Georgia. Caucasus international University is one of the biggest medical university in Georgia. It recognized by WHO, MCI, and many more international professional groups. Caucasus international University has formed into a huge scale, a well-managed comprehensive university with good MBBS teaching staff. It is one of those universities which is having an advanced system of medical education, and it trains students with the help of updated education technology of MBBS study. The university embraces the high-tech methods of practical medicine that empower students to be focused, competitive and flexible in the world market. It is equipped with modern infrastructure and technical means, and oriented towards continuous development and integration into an international learning community.

The most important assets of the university are its valuable personnel and a correct cooperation scheme. The University, in traditional, classical terms, is a corporation focused on strategic cooperation between the administration, professors, students and alumni. The university is providing the best infrastructure for its MBBS students and the quality facilities like good and spacious hostels, libraries, modern classrooms, etc. Moreover, the university is providing a healthy and friendly environment on the campus for its students. The institute has various other activity centers in the campus like gym, separate sports complex, etc. The University believes in the overall development of every MBBS student and thus organizes various personality development programs such as Seminars, Debates, Conferences and Student Exchange programs. Apart from personality development programs, the University organizes various sports and cultural events and also encourages students to partake in these activities.

Currently, an area of approximately 17,000 sq.m. used for academic purposes is in the ownership of Caucasus International University. The CIU facilities include: student cafeteria, sports facilities, the library equipped with electronic technologies and book collections that consist of modern literature published in Georgian and other foreign languages, as well as study materials, the CIU multimedia center, laboratories of biochemistry and microbiology, and clinical skills development center equipped with modern technology, the anatomy study room equipped with modern molding machines, the scientific-research laboratory of neurosciences and applied physiology, phantom rooms, dental clinics for CIU students and residents, a simulated courtroom, a legal clinic, a tourism study room, marani “Kolkhi”, Scientific-Research Center of Viticulture-Winemaking, microvinification research laboratory, laboratories of wine chemistry, ampelography and microbiology, and a tasting room facilitating further professional growth of students. Currently, Caucasus International University delivers 23 Bachelor’s, one-cycle, Master’s and PhD programs with Georgian and English as languages of instruction.
